TME SPORTEXHAUSTS
TME sportexhausts are designed and manufactured in Sweden, by TME since 1977. A TME sportexhaust
delivers everything you demand of a performance exhaust system in looks and quality, without making a
noise about it. We only use stainless steel alloys, mainly 304L (EN 1.4307) suitable for exhaust systems
in production. Larger diameter means increased torque and horsepower in the mid and upper rpm range.
Especially on turbocharged cars, where boost will come in at lower rpm and with improved throttle response.
With a TME cat-back exhaust, the backpressure and temperature measured before the catalytic converter are
reduced from 30 to 50% and temperature with approx. 10% on full load compared to the original exhaust. That's
why a TME sportexhaust is required with all engine tuning packages. (See test graph below. Click to open
it in full size.)
TME silencers work by absorption. The sound absorbing material used is stainless steel wool and
special, long fibre glass- or basalt wool. There are no power robbing baffles, so back pressure is minimized.
All exhaust systems conform to European noise levels, and have a pleasant deep note. The car can be
driven all day without drumming or audible discomfort. All TME sportexhausts are fitted to the standard
mounts without modifications. All necessary installation hardware is included. Tailpipes are not sold
separately.

TME TURBO DOWNPIPE WITH METAL (RACING) CATALYST
DOWNPIPES ARE NOT CERTIFIED FOR ROAD USE
THERE IS NO E-NUMBER ON THE CATALYST
A stainless steel downpipe with a racing type catalytic converter with platinum coated stainless steel
monolith as a complete unit. The 120 cell catalyst made to TME specifications, that can keep the
emissions within the limits. A 200 cell catalyst is optional for some of the older downpipes, which can
reduce the backpressure about half way compared to the 120 cell. OEM quality 3-layer flex coupling.
Can in combination with a TME sportexhaust reduce exhaust back pressure measured before the catalyst
with up to 85% compared to the factory system. A downpipe will make the car louder, more on
direct fuel injection engines (3.0 SI 6-cylinder and VEA 4-cylinder) Image below show the cell density
and difference between 100 and 200 cell catalysts.
The TME turbo downpipe is required for stage 2 and higher levels of tuning. Power increase depending
on application but will make a noticeable difference on throttle response under acceleration and therefore
will reduce the 0-100 km/h times in some cases up to 0.6 seconds. A perfect product for high speed Autobahn
driving where ceramic catalysts are subject to meltdown and frequent replacements. Will slightly increase
noise level inside the car. For most models, a different tuning software is required. On 850, S70, V70, C70
first generation, the use of a downpipe may shorten the life of the exhaust system, if a larger than stock
turbocharger is also used, combined with very unique high speed driving conditions.
Note! Exhausts and downpipes are made to order and usually have a few days delivery time or more, depending on material stock.
We do not make one-off exhausts, unless it's a minor change we can do with existing material. Minimum order quantity for
a new exhaust system or downpipe is 25 units.
All exhausts and downpipes are synergic pulse MIG-welded.
